『東のエデン』『精霊の守り人』『攻殻機動隊S.A.C.』などの神山健治監督の劇場アニメ『ひるね姫～知らないワタシの物語～』が2017年3月18日（土）に公開される。公開に先立って、10月29日に東京・神楽座で開催された文化庁が主催する『第13回文化庁映画週間』内のトークイベント『劇場アニメ最前線～君は映画を信じるか』に、神山監督と、劇場アニメ『この世界の片隅に』の片渕須直監督、『BLAME!』の瀬下寛之監督、イベントモデレーターの角川グループホールディングス代表取締役専務・井上伸一郎氏が登壇した。 3人の監督は、まず映画との出会いについてを語った。実家が映画館で、2歳の時に見た映画がきっかけだったことを片渕監督が明かすと、神山監督は小学生の時に一人で何度も映画館に通い、映画を作りたいと思ったのが中学生の時だったと語る。そして、瀬下監督は名画座での映画体験がきっかけになったことを明かした。
5月20日（土）より2週間限定で公開される劇場アニメ『BLAME!』。同作は日本アニメとして初めてドルビーアトモスを採用したことでも注目のタイトルだ。その公開に先立ち、3月14日にイオンシネマ幕張新都心の8スクリーンにて試写会が実施された。もちろん音声はドルビーアトモスだ。 試写会には音響監督の岩浪美和氏、監督の瀬下寛之氏、副監督の吉平“Tady”直弘氏が参加。本作に向けた音への並々ならぬこだわりについて壇上で語った。
