Does React re-render all components and sub components every time setState() is called? If so, why? I thought the idea was that React only rendered as little as needed - when state changed. In the following simple example, both classes render again when the text is clicked, despite the fact that the state doesn't change on subsequent clicks, as the onClick handler always sets the state to the same
2019: try hooks + promise debouncing This is the most up-to-date version of how I would solve this problem. I would use: awesome-debounce-promise to debounce the async function use-constant to store that debounced function into the component react-async-hook to get the result into my component This is some initial wiring, but you are composing primitive blocks on your own, and you can make your ow
I'd like to make a heatmap like this (shown on FlowingData): The source data is here, but random data and labels would be fine to use, i.e. import numpy column_labels = list('ABCD') row_labels = list('WXYZ') data = numpy.random.rand(4,4) Making the heatmap is easy enough in matplotlib: from matplotlib import pyplot as plt heatmap = plt.pcolor(data) And I even found a colormap arguments that look a
I've spent entirely too long researching how to get two subplots to share the same y-axis with a single colorbar shared between the two in Matplotlib. What was happening was that when I called the colorbar() function in either subplot1 or subplot2, it would autoscale the plot such that the colorbar plus the plot would fit inside the 'subplot' bounding box, causing the two side-by-side plots to be
How do I list a private Github repo as a "dependency" in package.json? I tried npm's Github URLs syntaxes like ryanve/example, but doing npm install in the package folder gives "could not install" errors for the private dependencies. Is there a special syntax (or some other mechanism) for depending on private repos?
I just updated to the most recent version of Dired+ and Emacs (from a nightly build) and, for some reason when I open Dired on any path, I don't see details (e.g. file size, permissions, size, etc.) Has anything changed on Dired+ in the latest version? How do I restore the details view? Here is a snapshot of what I get now:
I am using IntelliJ with the Python plugin and the Remote Interpreter feature to communicate with my Vagrant VM. It sets up the remote interpreter correctly to use my VM's interpreter. But, I use a custom PYTHONPATH in my VM, and I would like IntelliJ to recognize that path and include the modules in that path when developing. How do I configure IntelliJ/PyCharm's remote interpreter to use a custo
