Why do certain random strings produce colors when entered as background colors in HTML? For example, bgcolor="chucknorris" produces a red background: <body bgcolor="chucknorris"> test </body> Conversely, bgcolor="chucknorr" produces a yellow background: <body bgcolor="chucknorr"> test </body> This holds true across various browsers and platforms. What’s going on here?
I've set up user auth for my rails App with Devise and Omniauth. Now I'm wondering where I should start to use the same auth for an Android and iPhone app I want to create. Should I use a mobile version of my /auth/facebook or should I directly send a request from the app ? This is a quite general question, but I've found nowhere to look at. EDIT : I've just added Token Auth to the app to use with
My Rails 3.2 app uses OmniAuth and Devise to sign in with Twitter. The authentication system works fine. I would like to write an integration test in rspec to make sure everything works. Using the information in the wiki, I've written the following, but I know I'm missing things. I need to build some bigger, longer-running client-side interactions to go with my server-side stuff. Is it worth adopting a framework like Knockout or Backbone to speed things along and keep things organized? If so, how should I go about choosing between the two? And are there other
This was bugging me over the weekend: What is a good way to solve those Where's Waldo? ['Wally' outside of North America] puzzles, using Mathematica (image-processing and other functionality)? Here is what I have so far, a function which reduces the visual complexity a little bit by dimming some of the non-red colors: whereIsWaldo[url_] := Module[{waldo, waldo2, waldoMask}, waldo = Import[url]; wa
Here is my code: $("#product1 :checkbox").click(function(){ $(this) .closest('tr') // Find the parent row. .find(":input[type='text']") // Find text elements in that row. .attr('disabled',false).toggleClass('disabled') // Enable them. .end() // Go back to the row. .siblings() // Get its siblings .find(":input[type='text']") // Find text elements in those rows. .attr('disabled',true).removeClass('d
