I have been thinking on comparing Git to other SCM’s. I’ve analyzed several of them and so far I’ve only done the comparison with Monotone (here). Nowadays it’s pretty clear that Git is the most widely used DSCM out there, but Mercurial is the second. So, here is a comparison between Git and Mercurial. Note: I’m a long-time advocate of Git, and a contributor to the project, so I am biased (but I h
By Giancarlo Lionetti, Product Marketing Manager - Developer Tools About Dev Tools On March 13, 2012 This blog entry is part of an Atlassian blog series focusing on teams switching to distributed version control systems (DVCS) like Git or Mercurial (Hg). You can find the other posts in this series under the Switch to DVCS tag. This is a guest blog post by Charles O'Farrell, a developer at Atlass

$ hg clone https://bitbucket.o
