1つのツイートに考えをまとめることがなかなかのチャレンジになることがあります。社員である私たちも体験しています。 でも、世界中の方々が同じように感じているわけでもなさそうです。例えば私（Aliza）が英語でツイートをする際、すぐに140文字の上限に達してしまうので、制限文字数内にまとまるようにツイートを編集しなくてはなりません。場合によっては伝えたい思いや感情を表す単語を削除したり、ツイートすることを諦めたりしてしまいます。同僚のIkuが日本語でツイートするときには、このようなことは起こらないようです。伝えたい思いを書いてもまだ文字数に余裕があります。これは日本語、中国語、韓国語では英語やスペイン度、ポルトガル語、フランス語などの他の言語に比べ、倍ちかい情報量を伝えることができるためです。 世界中の方々にご自分を簡単に表現していただけるよう、日本語、中国語、韓国語以外の言語では1ツイートの
認証バッジをリクエストできるシステムをご用意しました
Twitterの上で時々見かける青いチェックマークの認証バッジは、Twitterのアカウントがその本人のものであることを証明することを目的に考えられました。現在、この認証バッジはTwitterからお声をかけて認証作業を行っていますが、別の方法も加えることにしました。 認証バッジは、多くの方々に影響を与える可能性がある音楽、演劇、ファッション、政府、政治、宗教、ジャーナリズム、メディア、スポーツ、ビジネス、その他の注目分野で著名な方々を対象にご利用いただいています。 今回スタートする新しい申し込み手順は、これまでの認証バッジ同様、国を問わず、多くの方々が興味を持つであろう内容のツイートを行ってくださるクリエイターや著名人の方々を想定して用意されています。 この認証アカウントは2009年に始まり、現在約187,000アカウントが認証されています。初めて認証されたアカウントのひとつは多くの方々が
今後の予定：140文字をより活用できるように
Twitterは140文字のテキストだけのサービスとして始まり、その後、写真や動画、ハッシュタグ、Vineなども使えるサービスに進化してきました。ここ数ヶ月には、投票機能や、GIF検索、タイムライン上でのPeriscopeの視聴などもできるようにしました。 昔に比べるとツイートでいろいろなことができるようになってはきましたが、さらにもう少し便利にしたいと思います。そこで、これから数ヶ月の間に、140文字の数え方に少し変更を加えます。返信ツイートの＠ユーザー名や、写真や動画、GIFや投票などの添付物は140文字に含まれないようになります。 返信：誰かのツイートへの返信の際、ツイート冒頭に表示されていた＠ユーザー名が文字数としてカウントされなくなります。よって、140文字すべてを自由に使ってメッセージを伝えられるようになります。 添付：写真、GIF画像、動画、投票、引用ツイート分なども140文
